From the unfortunate parenthesis due to the fire of January 2023 that practically destroyed everything and stopped the work of the Basso Polesine Company that employed just under a hundred people, blocking all activity, a couple of years have passed and, now, completely restructured, Mancin Nadia S.r.l. is starting again stronger than before. It should be noted that during the downtime, contact with customers was maintained as much as possible and employees continued to receive their salary... (chapeau!).

For the owners of the Company, that moment of great difficulty was transformed into an opportunity to rethink the entire structure that in the reconstruction was able to be made "better than before" by creating a space that is not only functional, but also respectful of the environment and transforming the way of working: the new plant has thus gone from 5 to 6 thousand square meters. and now includes an automated warehouse with 50,000 pallet spaces (among the first in Europe) complete with a radio frequency defroster (to maintain the organoleptic properties of the fish unaltered) and for heat recovery with a view to a circular economy that allows for the powering of a ground heating system. Furthermore, with the new photovoltaic system, the production of clean energy necessary for the various activities has increased. Furthermore, a latest-generation oven has been installed to optimize production flows, thanks to the new spaces and machinery that help further reduce waste, improve safety at work and increase the well-being of the staff. “The opening of the new plant marks a new chapter in the history of Mancin Nadia S.r.l.. This is not only a structural change, but is in all respects the symbol of our commitment to the future” – asserts Marco De Agostini, one of the owners during the press conference to present the formal inauguration that will take place with all the trappings of officialdom in the presence of authorities (perhaps including the governor Zaia) on Friday 30 May. – .

But what does "Mancin Nadia S.r.l." represent?

The company has its roots in family tradition thanks to the happy intuitions of Martino De Agostini, today a “lucid nonagenarian” satisfied to see his company well managed by his children and grandchildren committed to improving his idea that has always evolved through a continuous process of innovation to meet the needs of the constantly growing and changing fish market. The company was founded in 1983 in the suggestive area of the Po Delta, by the will of the Mancin family, specializing in the preservation of fish products, with a particular focus on anchovies and eels. Today, strong in the know-how acquired, thanks to the expert guidance of Marco, Michele and Fabio (Martino's sons) Mancin Nadia S.r.l. has become a leader in the production of ready meals made by real chefs (both for home and professional consumption) tracing the most famous typical Italian fish-based recipes. With just under a hundred employees, the factory processes over 2,500 tons of fish raw materials from all over the world and ensures their rapid and efficient distribution, both nationally and internationally. The strength of Mancin Nadia S.r.l. is the preserved fish products (in particular anchovies and eels, heritage of the suggestive Po Delta area) prepared by highly experienced chefs who have been able to treasure local traditions with the intent of improving them day after day and expanding the offer of ready meals to offer a truly rich assortment to satisfy even the most demanding palates through tasty quality dishes, together with a high level of service.

In 2015, Mancin Nadia S.r.l. acquired the company M.Gi.B. which has a modern purification plant for mussels and clams, then distributed on the market daily. From these, the Polesine company has created the very fresh range called “Linea Frescovivo” thus becoming an important reference both in the production of preserved fish products and in the offer of gastronomic specialties for the brands of the Large-Scale Retail Trade, catering and for Ho.re.ca..
Among the products handled by Mancin Nadia S.r.l., the “marinated” ones have represented its history, placing it fully among the leading companies in the sector. Over the years, the company has continuously invested in research and technology, making itself ready to face the demands of modern consumers, increasingly demanding in terms of flavor and well-being only by refining the marinating techniques and making the products even more tasty, pleasant and appreciated. These improvements have made it possible to offer the most modern and balanced possible, even to the world of professional users.

Thus, thanks to the specialization in the preparation of marinated and non-marinated fish food products, Mancin Nadia S.r.l. today it is able to offer the market different formats, adding to the historical “preserved” a range of fresh bivalve molluscs (mussels, clams, oysters, razor clams, cockles, etc.) dedicated to the world of modern distribution (including fishmongers) enriching, with a growing variety in various formats (which follow the most famous typical Italian fish-based recipes) the proposal for domestic and professional consumption.
To better organize the company activity, the “online catalog” is available on the website “www.mancinnadia.com” for real-time consultation of the assortment and availability of products, including costs and delivery times.

The challenge now is to find the right balance between quality, tradition and innovation, looking to the future with the smile that the third generation of Mancin Nadia S.r.l. is capable of, which… is already on the ball!
