At TuttoFood, Fabio Russo interviews Marco De Agostini, President and CEO of Mancin Nadia Srl, a company founded 40 years ago by Martino De Agostini.

From a small business offering a limited number of product references, the company has progressively developed into a well-structured organization with around one hundred employees and a turnover of €30 million, supported by two production lines. Today, the new generations are leading the company with enthusiasm, continuing the path of innovation initiated by the founder.

The main innovations presented at the trade fair are aimed at the Horeca channel. In collaboration with the Research and Development department, the company has developed a new range of ready-to-use seafood dishes designed to meet the needs of a sector that must cope with increasingly fast service, reduced staffing levels, and constantly rising operating costs.

The new line includes specialties such as octopus with potatoes, Luciana-style octopus, cuttlefish with peas, stewed cuttlefish, and Taranto-style mussels. These are complemented by the “Base Mare” preparations, ready-to-serve seafood appetizers that can also be customized according to the specific needs of each establishment. Among the most interesting new products is “Cotto di Mare”, a versatile solution that can be used both as a ready-made seafood stew and as a seasoning or sauce base.

Alongside the development of the professional channel, Mancin Nadia Srl continues to maintain a strong presence in large-scale retail distribution, where it offers a wide range of seafood appetizers that represent one of the company’s key strengths.

During the interview, Marco De Agostini also recalls an important milestone in the group’s growth: the acquisition, around fifteen years ago, of a company specialized in shellfish purification. This operation enabled the company to further expand its product range with short supply chain mussels and clams, strengthening quality control and product traceability.
